For a rundown of Yoast's basic features, refer to the following:
Go to WordPress.com
Hit "Pages" on your dashboard.
Hit the 3-dot menu of any page.
Hit edit.
Scroll down until you get to the Yoast SEO section.
Hit just about any feature.
.....
Okay, just hit "Premium SEO analysis".
Hit the "Unlock with Yoast SEO Premium"...

NO MONTHLY?!?!
Wait until you're actually MAKING money before going premium.
THEY WANT SEVENTY BUCKS FOR THIS STUFF!!!
Which is fine...
ONCE YOU'RE MAKING MONEY.
You have to go to their subscription page:
Change bill annually to bill monthly.
$15.40?
.....
Wait til you're making money.
And even then, make sure you get a FULL month.
SO, TIME IT RIGHT.
Google Page Speed Insights
Google Mobile-Friendly Test

Structured Data Markup Helper
(This keeps on coming up.)
Ubersuggest?
(Still have no idea what this is.)

Obviously, the cheapest way to do this (broken down monthly) is to pay annually.
$300 for the business plan, and $70 for the premium.
$370 divided by 12 comes out to $30.83.
Paying monthly comes out to $40 plus tax for the business plan, and then $15.40 plus tax for yoast premium. - That comes out to $55.40 plus tax.
So, about $35 monthly paying it all at once ($370 plus tax), or about $60 every month.
OR you could just get the business plan and use other SEO tools alongside the free yoast plugin (which is what I intent to do initially).
That's only a few more dollars than I'd be spending for all the annual plans.
Once I start making some money, I might go ahead and try yoast premium for a month, just to see how it compares to my initial setup.
If I think it's worth it, I'll go ahead and get the annual plans.
November 28, 2022 Update
Not only do you have to pay for the business plan to access SEO plugins, but, apparently you also need the business plan to use any of the high performing themes like Astra and OceanWP.

Oh, and of course, besides all that, a "free" plugin, RankMath, is BETTER than Yoast.

I guess no further updates are necessary.
(This is just a small example of how radically my plans will change as I continue to learn about WordPress.)
